October Term Break: Recreational Activity Bounce Inc, Singapore at Cathay Cineleisure

This activity was hosted at BOUNCE at Cathay Cineleisure in Singapore, on the 23rd of September 2018. The purpose of this activity was for students to mingle and get to know their fellow eagles, as well as to kick back
and relax during the term break. The focus of the activity was the obstacle course and trampoline park where students could get some exercise. It is a fun way for the students to bond while relieving the stress from previous semesters.
Prior to the activity, an introduction to the trampoline park and a safety brief was conducted by the facilitators. The event program kicked off with a run through the “X-Park”, a la Ninja Warrior obstacle course. It is an indoor adventure challenge course that combines the elements of climbing, jumping, and free-running before zipping on the aerial runway to the finish line, a rather intensive workout for our students. Next in the program was the “Big Bag”, which allowed students to acclimatize to the trampolines and attempt jump tricks without risking injury. For this activity, students gained momentum by jumping onto an Olympic-grade trampoline and attempted their flips before landing on an airbag. After the Big Bag came to the free jumping station, where icebreakers were held to help students gets to know each other better. The event was then concluded with a couple rounds of Dodgeball, a trampoline warfare where students would hurl softballs at each other attempting to eliminate each other from the match.
Ultimately, this recreational activity achieved its objective when our students left Cathay Cineleisure more unified and happier than they were prior to the event. It is hopeful that through this event, their friendship
will foster cooperation in the coming academic terms, to help and take care of each other.
