SGA Asia Swearing in Ceremony 2018

The Swearing-In Ceremony of the 3^rd Student Government Association (SGA) of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Asia was held on the 25^th of July 2018 at ERC Institute. It was a quintessential moment when the 2^nd Student Government Association handed down the roles to the 3^rd SGA. Being a young association, this ceremony represents a milestone in how far the SGA has come.  The VIPs for the event were Professor Graham Hunt, the Vice-Chancellor and Head of Asia, and Matthew Flaherty, Executive Director, Enrolment, and Campus Operations. The event kicked off with a speech from Professor Hunt, followed by a speech by the 1st SGA president, the person who pioneered the SGA in Embry-Riddle Asia, Alex Ong. Following that, Arjun Pillai, the outgoing president of the 2^nd SGA gave a farewell speech. The ceremony continued with the SGA Constitution being handed down from Arjun Pillai to Saiful Rahman – the incoming president. The 3^rd SGA officially swore into office with the SGA Pledge. Saiful then concluded the ceremony with an inaugural speech. The VIPs and guests then commemorated the newly sworn-in 3^rd SGA with a scrumptious catered buffet dinner and a fun photo booth, finally departing the event with small gifts of appreciation from the 3^rd SGA.
